Context
Sooner or later, a tax authority asks questions. When they do, the quality of your compliance work stops being an internal metric and becomes evidence.
An audit is won or lost long before the letter arrives — in the audit trail every filing leaves behind.
What I did
I support tax authority audits end to end: assembling documentation, coordinating corrections with EY local offices and clients, and drafting responses to technical queries.
Because I sign the returns, I know exactly where every number came from — which turns an audit from an archaeology project into a paperwork exercise.
Impact
Audits handled calmly, on evidence, without escalation drama. The same discipline that files returns on time is the discipline that defends them later.
